See All ReviewsI was blown away by how good this place is! Amazingly super duper yummy. I had the beef wrap but can tell everything is gonna be amazing.
Great little independent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurant on the side of a gas station. Food is really good, but a little pricey. I’ve had their chicken wrap, beef shawarma, and chicken mendi, and all were tasty. Nowhere to sit, so it’ll have to be to go, and waiting area is just the outside of a gas station. But it’s worth a visit!
Waiting around for my friend in front of Halal King kitchen one of the gentlemen inside offered me a hot cup of their amazing sweet tea. What a nice gesture. It was like he was welcoming me into his home. Halal King has been on my radar for some time. How can you not like the idea of Yemen influenced chicken shawarma place next to a gas station! My Chicken Shawarma came with a huge portion of rice, a colorfully salad with red onions, home made hummus and a huge flatbread. Ohh and the yogurt with garlic sauce on the side was super good. My friend ordered Chicken Mendi which was cooked perfectly. Matt says while you are making that trip to the Richmond Costco drop by this little gem and make friends with Halal King Kitchen. You will be glad you did.
